Paralegal Clerk Trainee

Working full-time or part-time in our office, you'll be trained in creating legal documents with FileMaker Pro and MS Word on a Mac as well as liaison work with agencies and courts. You will be helping attorneys all over Texas set up new businesses for their clients as well as drafting, sending out to file, and retrieving legal documents for them. Opportunities may arise for paralegal assignments assisting a closely associated business law firm located closer to UT.

Typical tasks include speaking with law firm folks, filing, occasional errands to nearby state agencies, copying, emailing, faxing, scanning, and updating reference material.

STARTING PAY is $13-14 an hour for full-time, $12.50-$13.50 for part-time.

HOURS are full-time M-F between 8:30 and 5:30, and part-time at least 18 hours a week between 9 and 5:30 and preferably including a large portion in the afternoon.

REQUIREMENTS We are looking for a bright person who is glad to pitch in where needed, is adept with people and details, and has excellent spoken and written English. A four-year degree or some college is preferred. Be sure to mention your academic achievements (grades, test scores, honors), writing ability and interest, and work achievements.
